Write to me

Adrien Técher

Instructional designer and DevOps engineer, mathematician by training.

My guiding thread: to pair an understanding of the physical, living and human world with the making of technology.

Both crafts rest on the same standard. A course, like an infrastructure, should be possible to describe, reproduce and verify. My mathematical training still shapes the way I work: I map a system before I touch it, and I would rather persuade with a worked example.

Career

I started teaching during my studies, as an apprentice teacher of mathematics and computer science at Lycée Ampère in Lyon (2018–2019). I then founded Yateli, worked independently for a decentralised-finance team, and came back to teaching: since 2025 I have taught at EPSI in Bordeaux and at Edeys school.

Vision

Education and research

My scientific interests remain those of my training: the mathematical foundations of quantum physics, spectral graph theory and the question of emergence (how collective behaviour arises from local rules). I work on the Akbari–Cameron–Khosrovshahi conjecture, an open problem in spectral graph theory, with formal verification in Lean 4. I wrote Mathematics Atlas, a work in several volumes that rebuilds mathematics from the axioms, each term pointing back to the node where it was established.

  1. 2022

    Blockchain Fundamentals, Professional Certificate

    University of California, Berkeley (edX)

  2. 2019–2021

Master’s programme in mathematics, Quantum Information pilot track (partial)

    University of Copenhagen, Denmark

I passed algebraic topology, functional analysis and quantum mechanics, and followed quantum information theory.

  3. 2017–2019

    Bachelor’s degree in mathematics (Licence)

    Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1

My thesis on the mathematical foundations of quantum information (Hilbert spaces, the tensor product, the postulates of quantum mechanics) received the highest mark.

  4. 2017

    Research assistant, AMPLIFIER project

LIRIS (CNRS) and Lyon Neuroscience Research Center

I worked on active perception and multisensory fusion (dynamic neural fields, psychophysics software), which led to a co-authored abstract at the ICDL-EPIROB conference.

  5. 2015–2017

Two-year degree in computer science (DUT)

    IUT Lyon 1

  6. 2014–2015

First year of engineering school, Sciences in English section

    INSA Lyon

Volunteering and commitments

Volunteering runs through my whole path. In Lyon I ran robotics and artificial-intelligence workshops at La MYNE and permaculture workshops for children with AFEV, and I took part in making the Doua campus more sustainable with Objectif 21.

I supported adults with intellectual disabilities with Adapei du Rhône and the ALOVA club, and backed humanitarian projects with the Karnaval Humanitaire (for Burkina Faso) and Indiaction, which promotes Indian culture. In the decentralised-finance community I take part in the DeFi France meetups, and I volunteered at the EthCC conferences in Brussels and Cannes.

Languages

French is my native language. I am bilingual in English, thanks to schooling in international schools in Amsterdam and Barcelona, and I translate from English into French. I speak Spanish (B1) and I have studied Sanskrit at Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3.
