MediRipple
A research prototype for hospital pharmacy: analyse a loaded treatment in a single pass before adding a prescription to it.
In progressResearch prototypeWhat it is
MediRipple is aimed at hospital pharmacy, at the moment when a new prescription line arrives on a treatment that is already loaded and its consequences have to be weighed. It is a research prototype, and I do not present it as usable in care. The design and the first sourced rules are written, and the engine is being written.
How it works
In a single pass, MediRipple covers four families of risk: interactions, contraindications, chains of adverse effects and prescribing cascades. It returns an analysis ranked by priority, with a written pharmaceutical intervention backed by its sources. The data does not leave the device, and no language model produces any clinical claim.
Why it exists
On a treatment that is already loaded, the risk of a new prescription is rarely in a pair of drugs, it is in the whole. That is the observation behind the prototype: to cover in one movement everything the new line can trigger, instead of comparing it drug by drug. Nothing has yet been reviewed by a clinical team.
